Position Overview
This position is responsible for writing, editing, and planning communications Paylocity sends to current clients. Key responsibilities include creating communications for multiple clients with a goal of high-impact engagement and results.Reporting to the Director of Client Communications, this role offers the opportunity to inform and execute communications strategy, manage publications, and collaborate with other staff to craft content that drives the client journey and engagement through a variety of channels. Candidates best fit for this role have a strong understanding of storytelling and know how to develop stories that support business objectives. They must be self-motivated, organized, and experienced in creating connections, driving results, measuring performance with content, and gaining deep understanding of our target audiences and the HR technology industry.
Responsibilities

- Writes, edits, proofreads, reviews, and oversees release of client communications and programs, including time-sensitive information.
- Reviews and edits essential internal and external communications to ensure accuracy, clarity, appropriateness, and alignment with communications strategy.
- Collaborates with Service, Marketing, Compliance, Product User Experience, Digital Engagement, Knowledge Management, and other resources as needed, to successfully develop various communications.
- Works closely with department leadership and internal partners to identify and target audience and messaging and incorporate that information into various communications. Works collaboratively with stakeholders and obtains all needed approvals.
- Assists with developing and implementing new and existing communication vehicles and technology.
- Generates excitement for internal and external initiatives with creative and thoughtful messaging and effective storytelling that upholds our established values.
- Tracks and reports on metrics for external communications.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (writing samples required)
- Outstanding ability to convey complex information clearly and succinctly and willingness to learn about our business and client needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing, preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar position that demonstrated multiple types of writing, including executive-level communications, change management projects, crisis and strategic communication planning, operational communications, and digital engagement.
- Experience with Salesforce, Pendo, Pardot, Payroll, Tax, and HCM is a plus.
- Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented person needed. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects at a time, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and work independently while building rapport with internal and external stakeholders.

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $65,000- $80,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
